Design/Development

GRFR employs a design staff capable of bringing any project to production-ready status.  They are experienced in designing, prototyping, and manufacturing products from detailed CAD drawings and blueprints to “frame-up” projects which begin with either a physical cushion or cushion frame.

Our customers have realized many cost reduction opportunities in this area through using our expertise as a resource. Many of our customers involve us early in the design phases of projects to ensure successful product launches as well as efficient manufacturability in both their processes and ours.

GRFR also offers customer value through in-house ILD and density testing.  The equipment and procedures used are based on ATSM requirements, and are incorporated into our design and quality assurance programs to ensure material integrity.

Manufacturing and Deliverability

GRFR offers state-of-the-art automation including CAD/CAM programming, CNC controlled contour cutters and CNC controlled pressure cutters to name a few.

GRFR employs a staff of manufacturing specialists who are responsible for designing and building custom specialized equipment and production fixtures used to manufacture products of all shapes and sizes.

GRFR maintains a focus on cost reduction through providing parts of the highest quality, at the lowest costs possible, in the shortest lead times. GRFR accomplishes this through the application of Pull Systems, Production Cell Manufacturing, Just-In-Time Manufacturing, and many other Lean Manufacturing Tools.

The history of GRFR is filled with dedicated outdoorsmen who have been actively involved in conservation through sponsoring organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, so GRFR prides itself on being environmentally responsible. We use water based adhesives and other environmentally “green” products to ensure that we do our part to preserve the environment for future generations.
